Our Mission

At Herd of Hope: Second Chance Mustangs, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide forever homes for Mustangs in need. Inspired by the story of Klay, a courageous young Mustang whose journey began our rescue in September 2023, we are dedicated to giving every Mustang the opportunity to live a life of freedom, dignity, and love.

We believe that every Mustang deserves a second chance, and we are committed to:

• Rescuing Mustangs: We focus on saving Mustangs from holding pens, auctions, and situations where they are at risk of being overlooked or neglected. Our rescue efforts aim to give these horses the chance to heal, thrive, and eventually find their forever homes.
• Rehabilitation & Training: Through gentle, compassionate care, we work to rehabilitate Mustangs, providing them with the medical care, nutrition, and training they need to regain their strength, trust, and confidence.
• Forever Homes: We work tirelessly to find loving, responsible homes for the Mustangs in our care, matching each one with individuals or families who understand and appreciate their unique qualities.
• Education & Advocacy: We are passionate about educating the public on the importance of Mustang preservation and the ethical treatment of wild horses. Through awareness campaigns, volunteer programs, and partnerships with other organizations, we aim to protect these magnificent animals for future generations.
